Ford Territory Titanium 2014 review
Reaching the end of its life in 2016, the Ford Territory Titanium was the proving ground for the mass Australian shift from sedan-style station wagons to family SUV's. It soon became clear that the diesel engine was perfect for the SUV style, and that most Australian's actually don't need a 4WD drivetrain.

Inside the Ford Territory Titanium 2014
While the Ford Territory Titanium 2014 model is starting to look it's age, safety is up to date with an airbag system that includes knee airbags for the driver, but the curtain airbags only extend to the second, not the third row of seats.
Comfort inside is still a priority, allowing passengers to stretch out and arrive relaxed on long country drives. All seven seats have leather trim, and there's plenty of space to store small items in the deep centre console, door pockets with bottle holders and easily accessible storage in each row of seats. Dual-zone climate control and privacy glass further increase passenger comfort.

With 1,153 litres of luggage space behind the second row of seats, you can easily take everything you need with you. There's less space with the rear seats up, and these seats are really only comfortable for children, or for adults on short rides.
The driver's seat is six-way power-adjustable, and the steering wheel is leather-wrapped.
Connectivity
The 8-inch touchscreen displays Fords Sync2 infotainment, splitting the screen into sections for phone, climate and navigation. As well as the touchscreen, the system accepts more than 1,000 voice commands, predictive text inputs, and a running fuel economy tally.
You get digital radio, two USB ports, an SD card slot and a 3.5mm auxiliary jack as well, so there's plenty of listening choice through the seven-speaker audio system. There's even a local wi-fi hotspot.

Rear passengers have a DVD player, and if your phone is paired with Bluetooth and you're in an accident, Sync2 will automatically dial 000 when the airbags are deployed.
What's it like to drive a Ford Territory Titanium 2014?
The electric steering on the Territory responds to varying speeds, tightening up at high speeds while remaining responsive, and very light at low speeds required for parking or three-point turns. Locally-tuned steering means this vehicle corners smoothly to the quiet hum of the diesel engine.
There's a slight delay of torque taking off which can be overcome by manually selecting first gear before moving to 'D' drive. 0-100km/h can be covered in just 8.9 seconds, with the diesel engine more than a match for the size of the car, offering an engaging drive when placed in 'sport' mode.
The diesel engine also facilitates a towing capacity of 2.7 tonnes (braked) or 750 kilograms unbraked.
