Aiming for an attractive interior trim that withstands the harsh demands of the job at hand. Plastic panels are low maintenance, designed for durability and toughness, with plenty of spots to store odds and ends. What's it like to drive a Holden Colorado 2013?

Ride comfort directly correlates with how much you spend. Double wishbone suspension with coil springs ensure a smoother ride with an empty tray than older generation models. The engine is a little noisy when cold, but higher spec models are equipped to keep you comfortable for a long day behind the wheel.

Over rough terrain and steep rocky tracks, the traction control is confident. The lowest spec model is 2WD, optional 4WD is engaged using a button, and lags a little, so be sure to press it early if you're approaching mud or sand. The Colorado, like most larger 4x4s, has a large turning circle, so tight u-turns are not realistic. Getting the right tyres, especially if you buy second hand, will make a big difference to the off-road performance.

All Colorados have a minimum one-tonne payload.

Who's the Holden Colorado 2013 for?

Built for tradies, couriers and rural buyers, the Holden Colorado is a true workhorse with an exceptional towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes when fitted with a fully-integrated tow-bar kit.

It's also a popular fleet car with mining and agricultural companies, so you may pick one up for a good price second hand when the company upgrades. The Holden Colorado is a tough and capable companion for work and recreation when you need a bit of muscle.
